Coriolis Flowmetere

Coriolis flowmeters are among the most advanced and accurate flowmeters we supply. They can measure mass flow, volume flow and density of both liquid and gas. This also ensures that the meters will compensate for changes in pressure and temperature when measuring gas.

Each Coriolis meter has one or more measuring tubes that oscillate using a voltage frequency. When the medium flows in the measuring tube, the oscillations will be further twisted due to the inertia of the medium. Two sensors record this change in the pipe’s vibration in time and space as a phase difference. This difference is a direct measurement value for mass flow. Based on the measuring tube’s vibration frequency, the density of the medium can also be measured.

Flow-Teknikk are the only ones in Norway who can supply Coriolis flowmeters in sizes from 2 g/h up to 230,000 kg/h. This means that we can supply flowmeters for all types of applications, and in all sizes.

If you need accurate measurement and control of extremely small amounts, we can offer Bronkhorst’s mini-coriolis series. If you want solid flow meters that are suitable for several types of applications, we recommend Coriolis meters from Heinrichs. These are of robust, German mechanical quality, and can be used at everything from filling stations for gas to fuel measurement on ships.

You cannot use the Coriolis flowmeter on air or gas under low pressure, or on gases that are not heavy enough. If you are going to measure air or gas under pressure, we recommend our  thermal flowmeters.
